Late-night rentals from 9:30pm-11:30pm, all rentals 50% off 4:00pm-9:30pm, regular rental rate The Streb Lab for Action Mechanics is located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn at 51 N. 1st Street. This high ceiling, indoor, year round, heated, aerial and acrobatic training facility is the home of world-renowned "Pop Action" creator/choreographer and MacArthur genius award winner, Elizabeth Streb and her company of Action Engineers. It also houses our KidAction program and the Espana Streb Trapeze Academy, providing daily classes in flying trapeze, Pop Action, gymnastics, trampoline, static trapeze and other aerial arts. We're an action laboratory and a not-for-profit organization, founded on the principals of extreme action and community engagement. We continue to inspire, share and holdfast to that basic human desire to take flight and we do just that, 7 days a week! We have two 22 foot motorized trusses over a 20x20 "footprint" matted area. Renters are encouraged to reach for the stars, rehearse and create your own aerial and ground acts. We even have teaching rates for those teachers who excel in their own form of acrobatic action! **Group class of 6 or more is considered a private workshop and will be negotiated separately. ALL TEACHERS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF TEACHING INSURANCE AND MUST HAVE THEIR OWN STUDENT WAIVERS ON FILE. We do not provide any aerial apparatus or equipment for public use. Renters must bring their own apparatus, as well as "span sets" and any other necessary rigging equipment. Email us if you have any questions about rigging. The entire space is available for photo shoots, shows, recitals and parties, all of which are negotiated on a case-by-case basis depending on your requirements. Please include desired dates and times and indicate what kind of apparatus you will be bringing, as well as what type of movement/acrobatics you do as performer. It is recommended that beginners take at least 6 weeks of aerial classes before renting the space to work out or train. All renters and students sign must our industry-standard insurance waiver. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for all rentals. If you do not provide us with 24 hours cancellation notice, your credit card (mandatory on file) will be charged.
